James McPhail coordinates the activities of CME’s manufacturing technicians. He is also responsible for more than 70 pieces of equipment on CME’s factory floor. This includes installing, maintaining, coding, operating and repairing the equipment. He also instructs CME students on the proper and safe use of equipment and assists them with projects and lab exercises.
McPhail brings nearly 40 years of manufacturing experience to CME. During his career, he has held positions as plant/manufacturing engineer at Lawn-Boy, manufacturing engineer at Smith & Nephew Richards Medical and design engineer/CNC programmer at Davis Tool & Die Inc.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering from Kennedy Western University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in electronic technology from Northwest Mississippi Community College.
